Online Gallery of Abstract Art

Artist - Liaksiej Bandarenka

This page is where I share my artwork that you can check out online. This is not the complete collection of paintings in my portfolio. My website’s online gallery serves as the sole platform to showcase my artwork to a wider audience.

As of now, I have not hosted any offline exhibitions of my own.

By selecting “open,” you will be directed to the individual painting’s page, where you can access detailed technical information, additional images, and links to an article discussing the creation process and symbolism of the artwork.

Infernum I

The first painting in my series “Infernum,” created using my signature technique “Abstract Accentualism,” serves as both an illustration and a point of reflection and meditation on a place no one should ever aspire to be – Hell.

Dimensions: 40x120cm (actual image size) / 60x140cm (including frame)

Infernum II

Infernum II is the second piece in my abstract painting series of the same name. This work features more pronounced accents using the “abstract accentalism” technique compared to the first painting, Infernum I. Like its predecessor, it is created on canvas with masking tape elements integrated into the composition. Similar to “Infernum I,” this painting depicts a place that serves as a cautionary reminder, rather than something to aspire to.

Dimensions: 80x80cm (image size) / 93x93cm (including frame)

K. Mickievič (J. Kolas) i Sieptymij Sievier

It was an abstract improvisation incorporating elements of my technique, “Abstract Accentualism,” alongside the use of acrylic paints and cigarette ashes to create an artistic paste. The name incorporates those of Yakub Kolas and Septimius Severus, as their faces and images are prominently featured in the central composition of the painting.

Dimensions: 50×50 cm (actual image size) / 63×63 cm (including frame)

Queen of Justice

A significant milestone in my artistic journey, Queen of Justice is the first abstract painting created using my original technique, “Abstract Accentualism.” Born unexpectedly, this work marked the beginning of a new Art Movement.

Dimensions: 15x15cm (actual image size) / 18x18cm (including frame)

Infernum III

The third abstract painting in the “Infernum” series presents notable differences from its predecessors. Unlike the first two works, this piece does not employ the “Abstract Accentualism” technique. It lacks the masking tape texture construction and does not feature an accented object. In “Infernum III,” one could describe the result as an empty Hell. However, the underlying concept of the series remains intact—a depiction of a place that serves as a warning, a destination no one should seek to reach.

Dimensions: 80x120cm (image size) / 93x134cm (including frame)

Iustitia Hic Non Est

This is the second attempt at improvisation using art paste created from a mixture of cigarette ashes and acrylic paint. The work follows a similar concept to [Painting ‘K. Mickievič (J.Kolas) I Sieptymij Sievier’], where the main compositional element is also present, executed in the technique of “Abstract Accentualism.” These paintings, created in this manner, have begun to align conceptually with my author’s series, “Infernum,” sharing a cohesive underlying theme.

Dimensions: 80×60 cm (image size) / 91×70 cm (including frame)

Capitaneus. Antecessoris. Necromancer.

Similar to the painting “Iustitia Hic Non Est,” this piece features a textured surface created with a mix of acrylic paint and cigarette ash. The piece adheres to the style of “abstract accentualism,” emphasizing three primary focal points within the composition. Unlike my traditional use of masking tape, the main composition is constructed using paper strips.

Dimensions: 26x38cm (image size) / 46x59cm (including frame)

Kamar Ščučynski X-69

This is one of my favorite paintings, created using only paper, ink, salt, and cigarette ash. What makes this abstract piece unique is that it was crafted without the use of hands or brushes—entirely through the improvisational flow of ink. The result? A remarkable mosquito!

Dimensions: 30 x 30 cm (image size) / 34.7 x 34.7 cm (including frame)

Zadumlivaja i Patryjatyčnaja Akuly

There are two, possibly three sharks depicted. The artwork originated as a side project, initially serving as a sheet to protect against paint spills. This paper is also used in the creation of my NFT abstract postage stamps. Using a cutter, I carefully extracted a proportional square and developed it into a fully realized abstract painting.

Dimensions: 20.8 x 21 cm (actual image size) / 34.7 x 34.7 cm (including frame)

Self-portrait

This piece is an abstract self-portrait represented as an owl, created on a scrap of waste paper using the dry brush technique with black acrylic paint, completed in a single session.

Dimensions: 21×14.8cm (actual image size) / 34.7×34.7cm (including frame)

Smiardziučka

This abstract painting, much like my self-portrait, is crafted using a dry brush technique and black acrylic. At the heart of the composition lies the “mysterious stinker,” a symbolic representation of the human soul and body. This figure, well-known to residents of post-Soviet countries, represents a character commonly found in both urban and rural areas.

Pamiž Akijanam i Kosmasam

This painting comes from my experimental period, a time before I had developed my own technique or established a new Art Movement. Despite its chaotic nature, this piece holds significant value for me, as it marked the beginning of my use of painter’s tapes — painting on them and incorporating them as textures. This approach later influenced my primary works, where I create a field of tapes on the canvas as a foundation before completing my abstractions.

Dimensions: 21×29.7cm (image size) / 26×34.5cm (including frame)

Neptune's Whirlwind

The history of this painting is closely tied to my experimentation with different paints. While I do not regard this piece as one of my major works, it nonetheless contributed to my artistic development. Initially created in 2018, the composition was revisited and further developed in 2022, layering on top of the original drawing. This work incorporates not only watercolor but also subtle elements of acrylic.

Nieviadomaja Asoba

In 2022, I explored the technique of mixing paint on limited sections of paper, resulting in a series of isolated compositions that collectively formed an abstract representation of a man’s face. During this period of experimentation, it was important for me to fully complete each painting, even those created as part of my exploratory process, so they could be framed. This approach enabled me to achieve a sense of completion in my work while establishing a foundation for further experimentation with new ideas and techniques.

Yellow Contrasts And Juiciness

In 2018, the composition had a distinctly different appearance. By 2022, as part of an experimental approach, I introduced more watercolor alongside spray paint and fabric-specific acrylics. The outcome is a dynamic and vibrant composition featuring bright flowers that, when viewed from a distance, reveals a scene depicting a dog encountering an astronaut on a fragment of Earth.

A Marasmatic Child

This abstract painting, featuring mosaic elements and sections with a dynamic mix of colors, serves as a reflection of my exploration of abstract forms during 2022, a period of active experimentation in my work. This painting is named after one of the objects featured in its composition. You can find a dedicated article about it on my blog.

Cmoki Srebnaj Ranicaj

Translated from Belarusian, the title of this painting is “Dragons in the Silver Morning.” This experimental piece, created in 2022, evokes an atmosphere reminiscent of dragons. While I initially intended to fill the empty sections with random color blends, I overlooked this step, and by the time I realized, it was too late. The painting was left as it is.
